Electro-Magnetic Compliance (EMC) test is required by National or International standardization or legislation in the target market. It is also required by your customers in their specifications. The EMC tests are generally comprised of two groups: 1. Tests the equipment under test immunity to interferences that originate in other electrical equipment that operates nearby. 2. Test that verifies the radiation levels of the equipment under test do not exceed limits that may interfere with other electrical equipment operating in its vicinity.

Communication services utilizing radio channels are controlled by target market legislation and regulated by bodies such as FCC in the USA and the Notified Bodies under the R&TTE Directive in the EU. The purpose of the legislation is to control proper utilization of the frequency bands allocated by the regulation bodies in order to reduce interferences and to reduce safety hazards for those exposed to Radio frequency radiation.

HALT - Highly Accelerated Stress Screening - is a test process of products prototypes intended to increase final product reliability. The accelerated test combines thermal shock and random vibration in six degrees of freedom. Stress profile is adapted for each product individually based on its basic capabilities. During HALT the product itself is operational and its being monitored for performance quality. The stress continues until the product's function fails. Each failure is analyzed for it root cause, repaired and the test continuse until the products technological limit.

HALT enables to increase safety margins of the product, decrease its vulnerability and increase its reliability.

Calibration is defined as comparison of a test equipment parameter measurement capability, its resolution and accuracy with a higher standard. In order to assure professionalism and high performance quality of a Calibration lab, it is required that the Calibration lab is ISO17025 accredited by a third party (ILAC). ISO17025 accreditation assures Calibration lab staff high performance quality, high quality test equipment used and therefore high result repitability. The ISO17025 accreditation scope of the Calibration lab is part of the accreditation certificate and it can be also found on the web site of the accreditation body. Calibration lab may issue calibration certificate under scope only for those parameters it is accredited for.
